Get the MOST out of YOUR Summer!
How are we halfway through summer? Do you feel like the days are flying by?
Here is a list to redirect you if your train has been derailed.
1. ReDirect your Schedule – This is a great time to readjust. Start by printing out a calendar of the remaining time.
2. Create a Summer Bucket List – Write everything you want to do this summer. Have your kids create one too.
3. Create a Plan – Pencil in all the “musts” on your calendar. Look for open days and fill in fun activities.
4. Create a Reading List – (for you to enjoy and one for the kids.)
5. Create Shared Time – Read aloud to your kids, watch movies together, create space in your schedule to enjoy time as a family.
6. Schedule NO Screen Days – Allowing space for your kids to get bored and explore is such a valuable, lost skill. Often the school year demands a packed schedule. Summer is the perfect time to create space for creativity.
7. Explore – Visit local museums, parks or places of interest.
8. Teach Your Kids – to bake, ride a bike, or learn a new skill.
9. Schedule in Downtime – Create room for open space. Give yourself some margin.
10. Be Flexible – Things won’t always go as planned so relax. Sunshine makes everything brighter. When all else fails… go get ice cream.
Summer is the perfect time to set up new routines that can launch you successfully into fall. Usually, you have more time and less on your calendar, which makes this a great opportunity to readjust family time.
Prioritize what really matters and get back to what you want your family life to look like. You are in charge!
Don’t just let summer speed past, but enjoy each day and make the most of these precious years. No matter your season of motherhood, summer can be the brightest and most rewarding if you use your time wisely.
This is your time to shine… Live intentionally.
