Mom Favorites

Children transform living spaces into a bustling hub of baby essentials.

From cozy blankets to bouncing baby seats, the once-empty rooms quickly fill up. Amidst the array of “must-haves,” here are a few indispensable items that continue to hold value for me today.

Here are a THREE of my favorites:

  • Sharpies: The Double-Edged Sword. In the whirlwind of a growing family, Sharpies have become my secret weapon. Marking everything from sippy cups to clothing, they are a lifesaver for organization. They fix nicked furniture and scuffed shoes. However, caution is key – these permanent markers can turn disastrous if they fall into little hands. Handle with care!
  • Post-it Notes: The Versatile Lifesaver. My house is stocked with Post-it notes in every size imaginable. They serve as my go-to for creating to-do lists, jotting down scripture verses on my mirror, and posting prayer requests in strategic spots. These sticky wonders double as bookmarks, reminders for the kids, and even carry heartfelt “I love you” notes for my hubby. Stack up on these gems; they prove useful for everything under the sun.
  • Books: The Gateway to Wisdom No mom journey is complete without a constant companion – books. Whether borrowed from the library, acquired from Audible, or purchased second-hand, these literary treasures are my pathway to wisdom. Reflecting on the extensive list of titles I’ve devoured, it’s astounding. To evolve as a person, my advice is simple – read!

While the influx of baby gear may overwhelm you, it’s essential to be discerning.

Not every suggestion should find a place in your home. Amidst the quest for solutions to bedtime dilemmas and the best strollers, resist the temptation to acquire every trendy item. Create breathing room by embracing only what genuinely brings peace or simplifies your responsibilities.

In the midst of the motherhood’s journey, prioritize memories over material possessions.

Cherish prized treasures, but remain cautious about accumulating unnecessary clutter. Your home should be a haven of cherished moments, not just an overflow of things.

Embrace the essentials and savor the journey of creating meaningful memories. More is not always better.

Wisdom is knowing exactly what you need and stopping there.

Identify the essentials. Eliminate the rest.
