Nailed it! Yummy French fries!
“Healthier than deep fried.”
I love French fries. I don’t claim to be a healthy eater. But I attempt to eat more “home made” meals than prepackaged. I recently purchased this air fryer at Costco. I really had no idea if it was worth it. However, since we live in a RV part of the year I am always looking for ways to cook without using the oven. Because, in my opinion, RV ovens just aren’t great.
THIS THING IS AMAZING!!
Mozzarella sticks, chicken nuggets, fish, potato wedges have all been successful. I am just beginning to explore with this kitchen tool but so far…
Nailed it!
Few tips…
-Shake potatoes half way through cooking time.
-Add 1 TBSP olive oil to potato wedges then sprinkle with garlic and/or favorite spices.
-When frying lots of meat then top rack will cook way faster.
*I may or may not receive money. >>> Just wanted to pass on what works for me in case you were thinking of buying one.
I don’t love my fries when they come from the air fryer. Do you feel like yours are more like fries or potato wedges? TIA I’m wondering if maybe I need to try again.
Did you shake halfway through? I have done both fresh potato wedges and frozen fries. It was what sold me. I turned it to 400 degrees. So far everything has been like fried but without the oil. Of course, nothing beats homemade french fries in peanut oil but this is sooo much healthier. Good luck.
I have to admit, this one short post did make me want to get an air fryer. Especially if you really only needed the tablespoon of oil. I’ve read other posts but those people needed to use more oil in order to get the fries to be the way they liked and so it started to feel like it wasn’t worth it.
